Based on that contract (basically being yearly options), I'd be happy for him to be back with the Ravens.

I don't think the Ravens have a better offensive threat on the roster. Maybe Perriman becomes his equal or better, but he isn't currently.

That said, don't think realistic with current salary obligations or looking forward for the Ravens.

You keep talking about wanting to see the younger players in a year you believe to be over..why would you add Smith and essentially block Perriman and Aiken?

I tend to think you know what you have in Aiken by now. Nothing great. Plus, you wouldn't be putting Torrey right in the starting lineup. He can be WR 4 or 5 behind Perriman, competing for a job next year.

Im not really advocating for Torrey. I don't think he was great by any stretch, or worth what he got. But maybe if you are planning for 2017 you want as many options as you can. Maybe the next OC if Mornhingweg isn't kept is a Coryell system guy, Torrey would be a better fit. As are Wallace and Perriman. Smith out of the picture.

I've always thought Torrey had great success as a slot guy the few times they used him there. Probably wrote about it at least twice. If Wallace and Perriman are outside with Torrey at slot and our receiving TEs, not a bad AC system of talent.

Before we get ahead of ourselves, the team needs to really look at themselves and see what they want to do next year system wise on offense. Kind of like they are fitting round pegs in square holes right now.

I don't see how you can have TS and wallace and develop Perriman.

It's counterproductive. Makes little sense to do that IMO.

Perriman is likely a bust and Wallace will likely be gone next year. Im not saying we should trade for Torrey but Im willing to talk

Lol...well if Perriman does bust, he has to prove that. He can't prove it without playing and getting an opportunity.

Smith will be available in the offseason. If needs be, go get him then.

Saw the video of the Smith injury.  Wow...the NFL can be a brutal game.

He should take the rest of the year off.  Smith is one of the really good guys, hope he gets better quick.

Pretty incredible considering where they were a few years ago. Not only were they in the SB but they were a team loaded in talent.

And they sided with Baalke over Harbaugh, right? Big mistake.

According to Rapoport, McDaniels is dropping out of consideration, making Kyle Shanahan the favorite.  Don't know who sees that dumpster fire of a team and says "I want me some of that," but it is what it is.

I guess McDaniels is holding out to take over for Harbaugh next year  ;) .

McDaniels is being picky about what job to take.  He is ready to coach again but between the Pats still being in the playoffs and him wanting the right situation, he feels he can wait.

I am very surprised he isn't going to be a head coach next year, although we will see what happens in Indy.  He may want that job if they decide to move on from Pagano.

The Niners are becoming the Browns of the NFC.

I don't see this working out, which isn't a bold statement or anything, UNLESS they actually give Shanahan (and Lynch) at least half the years of their contracts to retool that entire organization.

And maybe they learned something during the last 2 years.
