I'll write up my thoughts for this coming season once the transfer window closed on August 9th. Now that the WC is over there are bound to be some surprise moves.....

Can't wait!

A few years back I decided I needed to pick an EPL team to root for.  I used an article by Joe Posnanski that was posted here to select a team that seemed to best reflect my values as a fan.  I selected Fulham.  This could not have been a more perfect choice for me, as that year they were promptly relegated, continuing my time-honored tradition of rooting for losers.

After a few years hiatus from the league, Fulham gained promotion in the playoff final at Wembley last year.  I'm excited to actually be able to watch my team play for the first time, and to watch them play some teams/players that I've actually heard of lol.

I will always have a soft spot for Fulham. Not my team but they were one of the first big clubs to give US players a shot. And some pretty dang good MNT guys have been through Craven Cottage!

Any chance we see Pulisic on an EPL team this fall?

You can bet on the numbers, or you can bet on Buck Showalter.

Highly doubt there is any chance of that. He is well thought of at Dortmund and one of their better players. And he is signed through 2020. Always a chance he could get loaned out but unless it was to one of Man City, Man U, Tottenham, or Liverpool it would be a bad thing. He is already in a great situation where he is getting superb training as well as playing time and will get to play in the Champions League again this fall.

Speaking of surprise moves, what do you think of the Man Utd home kit?

I like it and since my Man U jersey is several (ok many) iterations ago it might be time for a new one!

I'm not seeing a lot of love online for that kit...seems a departure one might see instead on an away or third kit, but they've been a little adventurous lately. Not Juventus' latest crest adventurous, but not spartan.

Perhaps its time to pick a different team; ya know, in the non-Yankees category.  sinner

I am looking forward to the season despite the continued drama surrounding Newcastle, which is my club of choice since the Entertainers Era.  Should be a decent enough season.  City will probably repeat as champions unless everything goes right for Liverpool.  The other Champions League spots should at least semi-interesting.  Just about every team has bonafide star power.

Do you guys have a fantasy league?  I would be up for playing.

Also that SI Article is remarkably un-insightful.

Predictions:

Champions: City

Top 4: City, Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea

Golden Boot: Kane

Relegated: Cardiff, Huddersfield, Brighton (Sorry Hoots- but I don't trust you in second season up)

Man U - Leicester City was entertaining. United scored on a PK less than two minutes into the match equaling the TOTAL shots they made from the mark all last season! And they extended their unbeaten streak at home when they score first to some insane crazy thing like 180 matches.

Manchester City dispatches Arsenal 2-0. Not looking like they are slowing down at all. They are just so loaded with talent.
