Really have to be impressed with this team.  Columbus came to battle in this series and if OT had gone differently in game 3 this could have played out differently.  Caps really showed something coming back and showing what they are capable of.  The stars came to play and Holtby seems to be back in a groove.   Which brings us to round two.....

Caps-Pens in an entertaining tilt last night.  Playoffs are a long way off, but don't be surprised if you see these two teams go at it again in another 2nd round

playoff matchup.

Of course it would be against these bums.  No predictions or analysis tonight just a little Ric Flair.  "To be the man you gotta beat the man!"

Caps take the series 6-0.

Should have won the first 2.

Penguins have the Caps right where they like em.

Come the hell on now. Beat them for once!

I hate Pittsburgh so much, and I know they're going to destroy us as soon as I get my hopes up.

Caps became the first team ever to drop the first two games at home in OT and still win the series. It's only happened 6 or 7 times but still pretty cool.

I saw that Pitt and DC have played 10 times in the playoffs..Pitt has won 9 of the 10 series. That seems impossible.

Yeah it's pretty redic, but the first like 5 of those happened back in the early 90s. The Caps made the playoffs 17 consecutive years, but just weren't good enough to compete with the dynasty teams, they never really had a true franchise player, more like a really good cast of supporting guys, good enough to get there, but they weren't going to take out Mario and Jagr.

I think the series we beat them was like 2000 or 2001 or something, I remember I was bartending at the time in college. Then we lost in 7 games the next year, then we had the rebuild. The recent ones we all know all about .

The Penguins own us -- and they're gonna win this series too.

BTW, I am really curious to see the series price on this one -- we have home ice, but with the recent history I think Vegas will have us as an underdog.

Need some extra motivation, the Pens have never won a cup without vanquishing the Caps along the way.

Definitely impressed with their resolve in winning four straight after two really tough OT losses to start the series. Hopefully the way this first series played out is a catalyst for them to finally get over the hump against those bastards in Pittsburgh.

Though I'd prefer they not have to get out to an 0-2 start to do it.
