Smart move. Sounds like it's RIP Dugout Club though.

The O's do a lot of things wrong, but I have to give them a lot credit for this.

This an excellent idea.   A great way to attract young fans to the game and the Orioles.  In addition, letting the kids in for free means the parents buy tickets.

They still have Dugout club posted in other kid offers.

It is under Junior Orioles, which is what Dugout Club was evolved from.

Not a coincidence its being done in a month where attendance usually blows.

Bring the kids for free, spend more on concessions, etc...

Its a nice thing but there are ulterior motives behind it.

But it is very smart...They probably should expand it to all non prime weekday games throughout the season.

It doesn't seem like it's limited to the first month.

Tickets will be made available on a month-by-month basis, as the season progresses.

This something everyone should be doing though.

Getting kids interested in the game is very smart.

According to Buster Olney, who checked with the O's, the intent is for this to last the entire season.

Just double-checked with the O's: It means EVERY game after Opening Day. Regularly-priced just means you can’t purchase a discounted ticket via another promotion and still redeem the free kids offer. Upper deck tickets start at $15 for most games.

I priced it...if I can take my two kids with me, I'll pay $35 (after convenience fees and such) and we can see a game that is AFFORDABLE. It was getting ridiclous to take my kids for double that for tickets, and then spend on concessions and we all know a kid wants a souvenier or 7. Most games would cost me $200 if I was lucky.

Seems pretty clear that John is the guy, and is thinking longer-term as well.

12 oz beers cost $4?

What does a regular pint cost then?
