Butler is 2-0, coming off wins over Kennesaw State and Princeton. They were effectively ranked #34 in the season's first AP Poll, while Maryland was ranked #37. This game is part of the annual Gavitt Tipoff Games, and it's the first time the Terps haven't faced Georgetown in the series.
