I'd be cool with a 2/16 deal with a team option for a third year at 10 mil.

That's what I said.  So I was way low.

For all the shit people gave them, Jon and Camden Depot was pretty close in total dollars.  That was over 4 years instead of 3, though.

The only ish Jon got about Chatwood, was Rob laughing at the notion that Chatwood would get a larger deal than Cobb.

3/38 to the Cubs would have translated to a whole lot more for us. No thanks.

I don’t get it.

He must look a lot better with your eyes than his numbers do. I admitted that I don’t remember much about him in LA, so perhaps he passes the eye test?

dude:  "Chatwood @ 3/27"  (this wasn't him saying what he'd spend on Chatwood, suggesting it as a possibility for the Dodgers)

Not that it matters, but that's not what I was saying....that was a generic comparison if you could have Chatwood at 3/27 (not a prediction, intentionally undervalued for the example) versus McCarthy @ 1/6 with a 1/8 option.

Again, doesn't really matter.  I'd guess we'll find out he had a 4th year out there somewhere and the Cubs bumped up the total to stick at 3.  Seems like a Cubs kind of acquisition.

Duquette made it clear he was high on Sabathia in his interview yesterday, and again mentioned his belief that a lefty is needed.

Sabathia seems intent on going back to NY though.

Sabathia would be a Jimmy Key-like signing for the Orioles if they could make it happen IMO.

If I had to pitch in a bandbox though, I'd take the better offense behind me and the Yankees will most certainly outbid any offer the Orioles throw out there.
