The Ravens caught a break with Derek Carr's injury. They need to take advantage of a back-up QB and try to get back on track on offense.

The Ravens needed a break....the teams playing them have gotten a lot of injury breaks.

Zriebec is stating on Twitter that Jimmy Smith did not practice yesterday due to an achilles injury and then someone following him said that after the game last week he was in a boot.  And the hits just keeping on rolling, if true.

Raiders have a good Oline. Stopping Beast mode means you force EJ Manuel to throw, and then you let the D take over.

The line is good...but hasn’t played well this year.

That sucks...if he doesn’t play, luckily Cooper is banged up and playing poorly and Carr isn’t playing.

Can start Humphrey and Carr...hope that Jaylen Hill is ready (which he really isn’t since he hasn’t practiced in 5 weeks) and that Webb’s thigh injury doesn’t keep him out of the game too.

I would expect BWill to be out this week too.

Williams and Smith off the field really hurts the defense...Smith has been one of the best corners in football this year.

It’s good that Oakland has their own issues.

You'd think a game against EJ Manuel you could just go ahead and pencil in as a win, but the Ravens offense is so bad you can't even count on them to score more than 10 points probably. Khalil Mack could wreck the entire game and send us home with an L.

Didn’t Manuel have success against us in a recent game?

Considering Derek Carr is out, I agree. Honestly I think the Ravens should win this one

No, he was quite horrific. Problem is Joe had a meltdown game in Buffalo so Bills won.

Saw this on Twitter:

Jimmy Smith was fantastic this past week. 10 press man snaps against Antonio Brown, just one loss on a quick-in route. Dominant performance.

That's insane considering it was against a WR that is considered by most, the best in the NFL. And on paper, has a quick twitch Skill set that should allow him to beat Jimmy Smith more often than not. However, skill has never been a problem with Smith. The guy is a legit shutdown corner when he's healthy. Probably the most under rated DB in football simply because he can't stay healthy.

Man, what another anti-climatic week for the Ravens. I hope / wish they would show us something to we can all get excited for. But I'm not counting on it.

Manuel has beaten the Ravens when he was with Buffalo I believe. The Ravens offense has been pitiful all the way around.

I don't know how anybody can say we should win this game on the road.

If the offense lays another egg , I wonder if Marty isn't close to being dismissed?

Carr practicing but taking 2nd team reps. Manuel probably starts, but they are leaving the door open for Carr. It seems unlikely they would risk playing him but who knows.

Definitely rather see Manuel start even compared to a less than 100% Carr.

Who's Playing, Who's Not vs Oakland Raiders - Cornerback Jimmy Smith returned to practice and is good to go. Tight ends Benjamin Watson and Maxx Williams also returned. Defensive tackle Brandon Williams has been ruled out for a third straight week.
