Auburn looked like shite, don't let the score fool you.

Your face looks like shite!

Good post. Agree all around. Still think USC has the talent to make it.

I think they do too...just tough with no bye weeks. I don't think ever recall hat happening to a team.

I'll be very surprised to see a conference get 2 teams in. In that example (the SEC), what's the scenario? 2 from the West? Both division champs, with 1 of them losing in the conference championship?

If it's 2 from the same division, that would be saying a non-Conf winner, non-Division winner was better then one of the Conference Champs... two of the winners out of the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, and Pac 12 would be left out.

I think that is extremely unlikely to happen.

I find it unlikely that any SEC team with 1 loss doesn't get into the playoff. So, if LSU or Auburn wins all games except Bama, I could still see them in the running.

FSU is in deep shit. Clemson has a shot but we need to see what their new QB will give them. Multiple losses wouldn't be that difficult to see.

I can just see the ACC winner having 2 or more losses. If that happens, they are out.

That leaves SEC, PAC 10 and Big 12 fighting for 3 spots. Depending on how everything plays out, SEC definitely can get 2 in.

I may have been a bit hard on Washington.  They didn't look great against Rutgers but they won and it was a cross country flight.

Look at us being smart to drop Auburn from the top 12 just like the AP.

Seems like Clemson is a consensus #3... I think they are interchangeable with Oklahoma and Penn State as teams 3-6. (My second tier grouping = Penn State, Oklahoma, Clemson and USC... Alabama/OSU as the top tier)

Interesting to see this develop...  see if our poll consistently ends up with results that match or differ from the AP / Coaches, etc...

I don't really have the knowledge or time to organize/participate in any other BSL polls, but if anyone does want to organize it I'm happy to share the spreadsheet I have to tally votes. I'll even contribute graphics....whoever runs it would just need Photoshop, or a program that can edit PSD files, to do the weekly updates.

I figured in addition to being a fun activity for us it might also be a good thing to broadcast on social media to draw attention to the site (hence the graphics).

Hey, I'm the one "overrating" USC by sticking with them. I don't think Western Michigan is a slouch btw.

I'm not going to lie, I don't see anything special about Washington though.

I can't wait to see USC / Stanford and get a better sense of both.  Them being pushed by WM didn't shock me.

I have no concerns about biases, we all have some, but that's part of the fun. Mostly I'm just pleased with the group we've got and the commitment you guys were willing to make. Good group of college football fans who won't just regurgitate what the other polls put out.
