I asked Jeff Z about what the Cinci Inquirer said about Joes arm:

I didn't see that, but the one or two times he tried, it didn't look good. He didn't step into that one throw to Maclin at all.

I guess this week the complaint about  Joe is going to be arm strength.

When it comes to Joe, some of this goes beyond sensible football talk.

Unfortunately, Pitt may have a special defense too.

I think we have a lot of wrinkles that we did not see today.

Pees seemed to have something for everyone to use.  I like rotating the DP's and even saw Levine in as a box safety at times.

We are going to have some fun watching these guys.

Concerns about Flacco are legit. If he's the caliber of QB he was from '09-'12 we are a legit contender. If the regression is real and he's no better than he was the last 2 years then it'll be a struggle to make the playoffs.

I think Pitt has the most complete team in the NFL. Even moreso than the Pats. I have to wonder, how many teams have had the clear cut best RB and clear cut best WR in the NFL on the same team, at the same time? Their offense will start clicking, and as much as it kills me to say it, when it does, they'll be damn near unbeatable.

It's not just Bell and Brown.  I think people are forgetting how dynamic that offense was with Bryant, and he's back now.  They're a very dangerous team.  Hopefully Consentlessberger will retire and cripple them soon.

They've had all that the last 3 years. I think Ben is the weak link there and their defense is overrated too. NE will destroy them on any field.

NE got embarrassed on their home field by KC. KC is a good team. But their offense isn't close to Pittsburgh.

I'd agree that Ben gets carried by his skill position players. But he's still good. And his ability to extend plays with Bryant, Brown, Rogers and Bell on the field can be downright game breaking.

I don't think their defense is a top 5 unit or anything. But they have playmakers, and a really good front 7. Their secondary is their weakness. If Haden starts playing like he used to, they can be a top 10-15 defense. Mixed with their Offense, that's scary. Like anyone though, they can be beat.

Sean is a closet Bos sports fan. I'm convinced.

Ha. No. Just a realist. Just stating facts as I see them like you do.
