Bundy 2017: 11-8, 4.15 era, 134.1 ip, 120 hits, 22 hr's, 40 bb's, 107 k's, .739 OPS Against, 4.98 xFIP
DOB: 11/24/92

 

Gausman 2017: 8-8, 5.21 era, 133 ip, 162 hits, 21 hr's, 55 bb's, 126 k's, .846 OPS Against, 4.42 xFIP
DOB: 1/6/91

I expect their DOB to remain the same.

3.5-4.0 ERA's. 30 starts. 180 innings. Better is good.

3.5-4.0 ERA's. 30 starts. 180 innings. Better is good.


Feel similar...but KG with more innings.

KG is definitely capable of more but I have no reason to believe he will accomplish that.

Bundy is also capable of more but he may be two years away from expecting more.

Bundy needs to learn to get more grounders. I don't mind that he's a flyball pitcher but I would like to see the ratio be closer to 1:1. That should help with the homers.

Agree with CA and Rob on the performance side. 

 

I think an aveage season should be under 4.00 and something around 200 innings.  

 

Room for year to year variance up or down.  Both have the stuff to spike a 3.00 era season and be a top 12-15 guy.  We've seen both dominate at times.  How can you get to that consistency.

They both have the talent (Gausman more with stuff and Bundy more with pitching) to be better than this year. But they both give up too many homers and I don't see that changing. So something right around 4.00 is what I would hope to see.
