In this article, I take a look at the second line of defense for the Terps this season, which features one of the conference's best linebackers.

Didn't Davis start for Cockerille in the Bowl game?

Jalen Brooks play last year was a disappointment. Thought he had played well his Soph year. Became an after-thought as a Jr.
Maybe in Year 2 of Durkin's system, he will be more comfortable?

I like that Underwood has some post HS experience. Interested to see more of him. Being an 'older' guy, he should regularly be on the field. Rotate these guys in.

See Egbuaba was Academic All Big-Ten last year. Hopefully 3rd year in the system, he's ready to contribute?

The write-up on Antoine Brooks was interesting. Got into 6 games last year. Based on his athleticism, maybe he takes a leap here in Year 2? Was a RB in HS (Prince George's 4A Offensive POY).

Can see the rationale of RS Eley, but if he is going to be counted on in '18; I'd rather get him experience here on the field in '17. See Scout had him as a 4star, while the other 3 services had him as a 3. Regardless, there were a lot of quality programs after him.

There is pretty decent depth at Safety now...  wonder if they'll move a S to LB... or just go with defensive alignments which have an extra S on the field?

If Cockerille isn't eligible to return to the field this year, Davis has a real chance to start over Brooks at WLB.
