I don't think I've ever shared this on this site, but I'm a huge Buckeye fan.  grew up in Columbus Ohio and as I sometimes say...they are my favorite professional team :)  I didn't go to OSU, but you can't grow up in central Ohio and not be a Buckeye fan.

Yesterday was an instant classic.  Not the best OSU victory I've seen...I'll put it at #3

1.  Not as big a stage, but in 1984 OSU was down 24-0 vs Illinois and Keith Byars looked at the camera and said "we're coming back" and he led a furious run highlighted by a 67 yd run after losing his shoe

2. Always big, I remember this game especially for another reason, but in 2005 OSU was down to Michigan 21-12 with 8 min left and had a furious comeback led by Troy Smith and Santonio Holmes.  Late Highlights. Great catch by Gonzalez at 2:12 in the link.

3. Last night.  Crazy win especially after they gave away so many big plays through the first 3Q.  Barrett completes 16 passes in a row including 13 in the 4Q with 3TDs.  Defense just tee'd it up and refused to lose. I was yelling at the TV 3 or 4 different occasions...and thought it was over on the second fumble.  Play until the clock runs out. Amazing win.

--------------------

I was trying to think of somewhere to put this, but there was 2 great pre-game signs in Columbus at the National Pre-game show.

1- "McSorely lies about his height on Tinder"  (I'm guessing lots of people use this, but what a well developed slam)

2. "I was going to make a joke about the BCS, but Penn State wouldn't get it" (D'OH !!!)

-------------------

One more thing in all seriousness.  When you think back to the crippling sanctions levied against PSU program in the wake of the Sandusky scandal....serious congratulations to the coaches and players who have stuck by the program and rebuilt it after suffering the adversity they didn't control.  No issues with the message sent by the NCAA (not just to PSU, but all programs), but it still could have been a program killer (I guess some of the penalties were suspended short of the 4 seasons), but still PSU is 2-3 seasons removed from that and has rebuilt a top program.

Woah. Dude posting about something other than baseball???!!!

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

The Big Ten's Playoff chances are still alive. They just depend on Wisconsin going unbeaten and winning the conference title. So yeah, summon the priest for last rites.

Wilton Speight, Michigan's starting QB until he fractured his vertebrae early in the season, will transfer.

As expected, former Ole Miss QB Shea Patterson is transferring to Michigan. Depending on an NCAA ruling, he may be eligible to play in 2018 (in some cases NCAA will waive the 1-year ineligible rule for transferring players if they are leaving a school placed under sanctions).

It's a little bit an apples and oranges comparison due to the different offenses run, but I still think Patterson represents an upgrade over what Michigan has had at QB the past couple seasons.
