ESPN take on the AP poll

A bit dismissive of the Big Ten East for my taste but still an interesting read.Alabama/Fla. St and Oklahoma/Ohio St. losers will have lots of pressure on them to make the playoff.

That's an outside the box, interesting and logical idea. I like it a lot. Those games almost always suck. Is the money opportunity in these championship games too big to pass up though?

The article is flawed.  FCS does the whole playoff deal with way more teams in the playoff. There is zero reason that FBS can't continue having conference championships AND a 8 team playoff. For one thing I think you get better football. One of the problems with the four team playoffs and the major bowl games is the way too long a layoff between the teams last game the first weekend in December then their playoff or big bowl game.

Watchability Rankings...

Pretty good list. Glad they aren't trying to tell us Alabama is a top 5 watchable team. Article has some credibility on that alone. ;) War Eagle!

Ga Tech dismissed Dedrick Mills, their best RB.

Coaching staff and many fans wishing him the best, they respect him as a person, hoping he can get himself on track.... lotsa fan jokes about how UGA would have benched him for the first half of a patsy game....

It looks like the BYU-LSU matchup, originally scheduled Sat at NRG Stadium in Houston, will be relocated due to Hurricane Harvey flooding. Possible locations are New Orleans, Orlando, Nashville and Jacksonville. Dallas was mentioned too, but how they'd pull that off when Jerryland is hosting Florida-Michigan that same day is beyond me, unless they're talking about playing in the old Cotton Bowl stadium.

EDIT: It's been moved to New Orleans, kickoff at 9:30pm ET.

I am so interested to see the athletes of FSU against Bama.  Perhaps similar to Clemson?

#10 Oklahoma State is cruising against Tulsa 52-17 late in the 3rd. Like Chris I thought this might be a closer game.

It's been a struggle for ol' Randy Edsall in his return to UConn....they trail Holy Cross (lol) 20-14 headed to the 4th Qtr.

It's a shame I'll be watching Auburn smack Georgia Southern as FSU takes it to Alabama.

#8 Washington didn't look too impressive tonight, but still managed to win at Rutgers 30-14. Rutgers mostly got the better of it on both lines of scrimmage, but two INTs and surrendering a punt return for a TD was their big undoing.

After falling behind 10-0 early to Utah State, #9 Wisconsin has been rolling. Up 45-10 early in the 4th.

Lane Kiffin's FAU debut has not been pleasant. They're down 42-19 to Navy in the 4th Qtr and are currently sitting through the second lightning delay in the game. Maybe he should have been nicer to Saban.
