Would a Duke/UNC final be the most watched game in basketball history?

I think the highest rated games are probably from the Bulls era.

I just feel like if ever there was a year where it sets up nicely for it, this would be it.

One game at a time though.

UNC has the easier path to get there IMO.

Playing in a stadium, where shooting conditons are usually more difficult, would likely favor UNC if they played again.

BTW, I hate that they play the final 4 in stadiums. Totally changes the game.

I would say that UNC has an easier path, where (at least in my bracket) there'd be one game where they weren't heavily favored.

I think Duke should be fine as well, but I think some matchup problems may happen down the road. We'll see.

Duke will struggle with Baylor... UNC with Kentucky... def possible. If both overcome those obstacles, I believe it's destiny.

Never met in the tourney.  Came close in 1991.  Both were in the final 4.

Baylor won't get to Duke.

I picked Duke in all brackets in that contest but if Baylor plays well, they are dangerous.

Sure..SMu is very dangerous too.

Baylor is the same team as FSU. They can beat Duke up inside. They have athletes with length.

But they are a dumb team. I loved seeing them as the 3 in Duke's bracket.

I worry about SMU more than Baylor.

But yes, Baylor is potentially a very capable team that could make a deep run. I just don't trust them to win any single game they will play in.

SMU is a bad matchup for literally everyone.

They are also underseeded.  They should be a 4 or 5.

If you were in charge of seeding the top 5 seeds in each region, where would you differ with the committee:

East: Nova, UCLA, Louisville, UVA, FL

South: Duke, Kentucky, Oregon, SMU, WVU

Midwest:  Kansas, UNC, Baylor, Iowa St, UVA

West: Arizona, Gonzaga, FSU, ND, Florida

Note:  UNC should be in the East but that new rule means they can't be the 2 seed with Nova because they would have been the highest 2 seed.

So basically, I take out Purdue for SMU, i elevate UCLA and drop Louisville and move a few teams up or down by 1 seed line...and the bigger change is the 1 seeds.  I could be talked into UNC over KU as the 1 seed too.

I don't like FSU as a 3 but I also don't think anyone else stands out as a team that should be a 3 over them unless you make ND that team since they just won head to head.

FTR, I agree with everything you said here. Just saying, I think it's a game.

This is good to look at in hindsight.
