Givoventelli (or how you ever spell his name had a nice play in the bottom of the first. Mancini hit a nice line drive base hit.

Wright looked good in the first inning. Good movement on his breaking ball and an easy inning. The second, well, not so much. They clobbered the ball off him. The HR he gave up left the stadium.....yikes....

I don't even start with my act until at least late May.

Seeing Bundys cutter is one of the most anticipated things of the spring. Hope he continues to throw it  and he starts a game on MASN. At one time it was considered his best pitch with put away capability. If that pitch can be effective it goes a long way towards Bundy becoming a legit SP.

Keep an eye on Chris Johnson and how many ABs he continues to get. He could be the answer at DH vs LHP with Trumbo going to RF. Career .301/341/423 vs lefties. Could keep him  Flaherty, Rickard, and Joseph as the bench.  Gives you more versatility than Mancini in that he can play 3b.

He also may be the OF third baseman if JJ can't get back.

I'm just now watching the Phillies game.

In the bottom of the 1st, AJ hit what God intended to be a double... but it got caught by their CF Roman Quinn. It was a very Paul Blair kind of play... except that you could tell Quinn was straining to get to it, whereas Blair might have been running just as hard but he managed to be glidetasticly smoooooth while he did it.

Brooks used to make truly great plays about twice a week. Much of the time, so does Manny. Quinn's catch is the kind of thing that Blair did a couple times a week. And unlike 3B plays, it's not over in a split second. You don't miss it if you sneeze. You get to watch it unfold. That's part of what makes defense fun.

AJ said there's no WBC trash talking yet... "but I told Manny today's the last time he's speaking English for 2 weeks"...

O'Day said he's at 100% for pitching... but is still working on getting in shape for catching homers... said he's waiting for his chance to make the "ultimate catch"... which means running over and catching one in front of the batters' eye at OPACY... he said if he can ever do that, he'll probably retire...

16 pitches, 12 strikes for Dylan Bundy in the 2nd inning. 23 pitches, 18 strikes in 2 innings. Getting strikeouts with his curveball

Gave up a leadoff double and left the runner stranded

Is this worrisome? I wouldn't expect anyone to really be lighting up the radar gun this early in the spring.

If it's "easy speed" who cares?  If he's killing himself to throw 94, then yes.  I doubt it's the 2nd.
