Of course I am biased, just to be clear.

Ok that was an incredibly difficult save. Jozy Altidore did exactly what he should with that cross. Going back against the direction the keeper has come from is the best place for that header. It is so hard to change your direction in that situation. Stefan Frei's positioning was impeccable. He had the near post covered as the attacker got deep with the ball wide. At the cross he follows the flight perfectly and ends up absolutely right where he should be. Dead center in the goal mouth and a yard off his line. But Jozy lofts a near perfect header. But then Frei back tracks, leaps fully extended, and reaches BEHIND him and flicks the ball out of harms way.

Guys, that was a world class save. I don't think in my peak playing days I make that stop and stopping headers was the best part of my game. Hats off Stefan. Well done!!

WaPoD.C. United expected to sign Hermann Trophy winner Ian Harkes

D.C. United has reached agreement in principle with Hermann Trophy winner Ian Harkes, multiple sources said Sunday.

Barring late complications, the former Gonzaga College High School and Wake Forest midfielder will sign a multiyear contract this week.

As a former member of United’s youth academy, Harkes was exempt from the draft and eligible for a D.C. homegrown contract; were he not exempt, he would have been a top-three selection.

Harkes was named ACC midfielder of the year, ACC tournament MVP, the most outstanding offensive player in the NCAA tournament and a first-team all-American.

Well this is certainly much-welcomed news.

WaPo:  D.C. United strikes deal with Audi for stadium naming rights

Terms were not disclosed, but United officials said the contract with the German automaker is one of the largest in the league. Most teams collect a few million dollars annually from pacts that typically run 10 to 20 years. Sources say the United-Audi deal is at least 12 years.
