This game was an exhibition right? Preseason, spring training, the end result doesnt matter.

Some friendlies, are more friendly than others.

For the most part Klinsman uses these games (particularly now several years prior to the next WC) to get an extended look at guys that could help. So the National roster looks long, and results matter less.

Against Mexico, it's a game that always matter to all who play.
