Freaking Magee, man.  Yeah, he thrived last night.

I will say, despite the score I was actually pleasantly surprised with the way DC played.  They looked like a competent team there in the first half.  I mean, their defense still sucks at an unbelievably high level but they actually didn't play typical, boring Bennyball.  They attacked, they counter-attacked, they took shots.  Acosta looks like the real deal.  Dude is pretty good.

They still got a ton of issues and I wouldn't be surprised if they finish at/near the bottom of the East this year but an exciting loss is better than a boring loss.

The only real issue I have with last night is that none, literally, of the players/staff came over to the supporters group after the game.  Not that I want to slobber-knobs or anything with 'em but geez, someone come over and show some appreciation for the 40+ supporters who came out (especially the ones who flew out from the DMV) and not only supported the team but also stayed through the entirety of that shit-show that was the second half.

Of course, all of that was easily forgotten once we went outside the stadium and got those bomb-ass Tijuana-style hot dogs they sell in the parking lots.

Oh, and at least the Timbers won.  So there's that.

Sports Illustrated: MLS Power Rankings, Week 3: Defensive woes run rampant

DCU being at the absolute bottom there seems about right.  This team has one good player and a bunch of guys who are old or slow (or both) or just aren't good.  Combine that with being without Hamid and it's not exactly a good situation.
