I don't even think Nadal is that much better on clay anymore vs other surfaces. I'll be surprised if he wins another major

Good call.

Kidding... I thought that he could win and was still good on clay but I thought the odds were against it.  But he has shown a fantastic renaissance and after losing to Fed in the Austrilan Open final in a heart break he has come back and won the French Open for the 10th time and for his 15th major passing Pete Sampras!  He is now ranked 2nd in the world behind Murray.  Now the scene shifts to the grass court season and of course, Wimbledon where the rested Rodger Federer will be gunning for his 8th title there and 19th Grand Slam.  Should be fun!

Nadal out at Wimbeldon.  5th set went 15-13.

One of the best 5 matches I've ever seen.

Murray out. Djoker had to retire with an elbow injury.

Fed advances.

Good storylines abound, with an American man and Federer in the semifinals, and Venus still alive on the women's side.

Querrey goes down, which stinks, but Federer to the finals.  Will be cool if he can win again as well.

Injury just killed Cilic. Would have been a great match but ailing that much he had no chance against Federer. As for Roger, he continues to do things that no one has ever done. I hope he continues to do so, I love watching him play, the grace, the artistry is beautiful. Congrats Roger on #19!

He has a real chance to win 3 GS this year...and he didn't compete in France.

Funny to think that 2 guys (Federer and Nadal) who not too long ago were written off, could now hold all 4 majors this year.

Little late, but slam #16 for Rafa.  Makes it a little interesting coming into the 2018 season with Fed.  Also the return of Djoker and Murray will be welcomed.  And hey, maybe some of the young guns will breakthrough.  Should be a fun 2018!

Absolute Golden Era of tennis. Nadal-Fed is one of the greatest rivalries in sports history. The two greatest ever with Djokovic also right there as a Top 5 guy ever. Hope people have watched and appreciated over the last decade.

Federer is 36 so he might be done winning slams.   Nadal is only 31  if he can stay healthy you have to think he has a few more in him (certainly at least another French).

You can bet on the numbers, or you can bet on Buck Showalter.

I think Fed has a better chance to keep winning slams than Nadal.  Nadal's body and game style won't age well.  They'll be a cliff and it'll happen very quickly.

But if he starts cutting back on his tournaments (like Fed has) that could extend his peak a bit.  Honestly this year has really surprised me from both of them.  If you would have told me at the beginning of the year that the 2 would both win two majors I would have thought we traveled back in time 5-6 years.  Remarkable bounce back year from both.

Nadal isn't the kinda guy to cut back.
